Dr Jennifer Whitbeck DVM

Jennifer Whitbeck, DVM

Dr. Whitbeck believes in partnering with pet owners, listening to their concerns, and educating them about their pet's health. She attended Veterinary School at Colorado State University, receiving the prestigious Health Professions Scholarship through the United States Army. After graduating Veterinary School in 2007, she spent 3 years on active duty stationed at Fort Huachuca, AZ. As part of the Public Health Command she provided medical care to Soldiers' pets as well as hundreds of working dogs and horses belonging to the Military, Border Patrol, Forest Service, and Secret Service. The military provided Dr. Whitbeck the opportunity to train with specialists in veterinary surgery, anesthesia, internal medicine, dentistry, and emergency medicine meaning Dr. Whitbeck is up to date on the best medicine available to animals. Dr. Whitbeck now lives on a small farm in Clarksville with her husband, Chuck, their youngest of four children, dogs, cats, and horses. 

Dr Amanda Sango Vet

Amanda Ervin, DVM

Dr. Ervin was born and raised in Murray, Kentucky. She earned her Bachelors of Science in 2004 and Masters of Science in 2005 from Murray State University. She graduated Cum Laude from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Dr. Ervin practiced in Evansville, Indiana and Springfield, Tennessee before coming to Sango Veterinary Hospital. She spends her time outside of work with her husband, two children and two dogs.

Chuck Whitbeck, Veterinary Practice Manager

Retired from the US Army after 22 years of service, Chuck needed to find a new endeavor to stay busy. He's always had an interest in the medical field and initially joined the military as a medic. He later went on to flight school and finished his successful career with unmanned aircraft (drones). Chuck enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his four children. Chuck also enjoys building and tapped into his skills to design and build the Sango Veterinary Hospital. The animal clinic was built with comfort in mind and offers a welcoming atmosphere where you can feel right at home.

Tara Sango Veterinary Hospital

Tara, Licensed Veterinary Technician

Tara was born and raised on a dairy farm in Northeast Iowa. She has been a military wife for more than 17 years. Tara has three children, two dogs and two cats. She began working as a Veterinary Assistant in 2013 at the Town and Country Animal Hospital in Fairfax, VA. She earned her Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician certification from Northern Virginia Community College in 2017. She also has a BS in Education from Kansas State University. Tara joined the Sango team in January of 2019, she loves all creatures, big and small, and is passionate about caring for animals.

Atavia, Reception

Tae is an "Army Brat" with a passion for pets! Always smiling, helpful, and friendly. Atavia has dual training in reception and veterinary assisting. She can usually be found at the front desk assisting our clients with questions, appointments, and refills, but can also be seen in the exam room or treatment area helping the doctors.

Sandra Sango Vet

Sandra, Office Manager

Sandra has been with the team since 2015 and while she started in reception she now splits her time between the front desk and the back office. She is officially the Office Manager and knows a thing or two about every aspect of the hospital. Originally from Germany, she is part of our military family. She spends time outside of work with her husband Josh, two children, cats Snowy and Merica, and dogs Cody and Louie.

 Cindy, Patient Care

Cindy ensures that your pet is loved, has a warm blanket, food and water, and gets a long walk while they are in our care. She sits with them as they wake up from surgery, blow dries and combs their faces after dental cleanings, and comforts them during procedures. Cindy ensures every furry family member is treated like one of her own. Cindy and her husband share their home with dogs, cats, emus, chickens, and horses.
